Fix Notification Issues

Get alerts working properly!

For Businesses: Not Receiving Notifications

Check Connection Status:

  • Bell icon → Should say "Connected"
  • Green = good
  • Red = disconnected

If Disconnected:

  • Refresh page
  • Check internet
  • Log out and back in

For Drivers: No Push Notifications

Enable in Phone Settings:

iPhone:

  1. Settings → Notifications
  2. Find Shaloz Driver
  3. Allow Notifications → ON
  4. Sounds, Badges, Banners → ON

Android:

  1. Settings → Apps → Shaloz Driver
  2. Notifications → ON
  3. Enable all notification types

Check App Settings

In Shaloz App:

  • Settings → Notifications
  • Enable each type:
  • New routes
  • Payment received
  • Account updates

No Toast Notifications (Businesses)

Browser Popups:

  • Bell icon → Settings (gear)
  • Toast Notifications → ON
  • Save

Browser Permission:

  • Browser may block
  • Allow notifications from portal.shaloz.com
  • Browser settings → Notifications

No Sound Alerts

Volume:

  • Phone/computer not muted
  • Volume turned up
  • Check notification sound settings

Settings:

  • Enable sound in app/portal settings
  • Some browsers block sounds
  • Try different browser

Notification Badge Not Updating

Try:

  • Refresh app/page
  • Close and reopen
  • Restart device
  • Update app

Too Many Notifications

Reduce:

  • Settings → Notifications
  • Disable types you don't want
  • Keep important ones only

Email Notifications

Not Receiving:

  • Check spam/junk folder
  • Add help@shaloz.com to contacts
  • Verify email address correct

Too Many:

  • Unsubscribe from marketing
  • Keep transactional (order updates)

WebSocket Issues (Businesses)

Real-Time Updates:

  • Use WebSocket connection
  • If disconnected: Refresh page
  • Check firewall not blocking
  • Reconnects automatically
