The Shaloz Business Portal dashboard is your command center for managing deliveries and monitoring key metrics.

Accessing the Dashboard

Login:

  1. Visit portal.shaloz.com
  2. Enter phone number
  3. Receive SMS verification code
  4. Enter code to login
  5. Dashboard loads automatically

Dashboard Layout

The dashboard is divided into several key sections:

1. Header

  • Shaloz logo (click to return to dashboard)
  • Environment toggle (Sandbox / Production)
  • Pickup location selector (business owners)
  • Notifications bell icon (with unread count)
  • User profile menu

2. Hero Section

  • Welcome message with your name
  • Gradient design banner

3. Key Metrics Cards

  • Pending Orders
  • Total Pickup Locations
  • Urgent Deliveries (today)
  • Trend indicators (% change)

4. Orders Over Time Chart

  • Visual graph of fulfillment trends
  • Date range filters
  • Center selection

5. Pending by Center Summary

  • Grid showing pending orders per center
  • Pending count and total amount
  • Clickable for details

6. Sidebar Navigation

  • Links to all portal pages
  • Quick access to features

Key Metrics Cards

Pending Orders Card

What It Shows:

  • Total number of orders awaiting fulfillment
  • Percentage change from previous period

What It Means:

  • Orders that need to be processed and sent to drivers
  • Includes orders not yet paid for

Actions:

  • Click card to go to Fulfillment Data page (Pending tab)
  • Process these orders to send them to drivers

Urgent Deliveries Card

What It Shows:

  • Number of deliveries scheduled for today
  • Deliveries that need immediate attention

What It Means:

  • Same-day delivery orders for today

Actions:

  • Click to view urgent orders
  • Prioritize fulfillment of these orders

Total Pickup Locations Card

What It Shows:

  • Number of pickup locations (pickup locations) you have
  • Quick reference for your locations

Actions:

  • Click to go to Pickup Locations page
  • Add or manage centers

Orders Over Time Chart

What It Shows:

  • Line/area chart displaying fulfillment volume over time
  • X-axis: Date range
  • Y-axis: Number of orders

Filters:

Date Range:

  • Last 7 days
  • Last 30 days
  • Last 90 days
  • Custom date range (date picker)

Pickup Location:

  • All Centers (default)
  • Select specific center from dropdown
  • View data for one location

How to Use:

  1. Select date range from dropdown
  2. (Optional) Select specific center
  3. Chart updates automatically
  4. Hover over points to see exact numbers

Insights:

  • Identify peak delivery days
  • Track growth over time
  • Spot trends and patterns
  • Plan staffing and resources

Pending by Center Summary

What It Shows:

  • Grid of pickup locations
  • Each card displays:
  • Center name
  • Number of pending orders
  • Total pending amount (in dollars)

Example Card:

Main Warehouse
12 Pending Orders
$245.50 Total Pending

How to Use:

  • Quick overview of which centers need attention
  • Click card to view orders for that center
  • Identify bottlenecks

Why It's Useful:

  • See at-a-glance where orders are waiting
  • Prioritize fulfillment by location
  • Balance workload across centers

Real-Time Updates

Live Data with WebSocket:

The dashboard uses Socket.IO for real-time updates:

  • Order status changes update instantly
  • New orders appear without page refresh
  • Metrics update automatically
  • Notifications arrive in real-time

Connection Status:

  • Check notifications dropdown for "Connected" status
  • Green dot = Connected
  • Red dot = Disconnected
  • Refresh page if disconnected

Environment Toggle (Sandbox vs. Production)

Located: Top-right header

Sandbox Mode:

  • For testing only
  • No real charges
  • No real deliveries
  • Test orders and integrations safely

Production Mode:

  • Live environment
  • Real charges
  • Real deliveries
  • Real driver assignments

Switching Environments:

  1. Click toggle switch in header
  2. Page reloads with selected environment data
  3. Metrics, orders, and rates reflect chosen environment

Important:

  • Always test in Sandbox first
  • Switch to Production when ready to go live
  • Ensure you're in correct environment before creating orders

Pickup Location Selector (Business Owners)

Located: Header (dropdown)

Purpose:

  • Filter dashboard data by pickup location
  • View metrics for specific location

How to Use:

  1. Click dropdown in header
  2. Select "All Centers" or specific center
  3. Dashboard updates to show selected center's data

Team Members:

  • Don't see this dropdown
  • Automatically see only assigned centers
  • No manual selection needed

Notifications Center

Located: Bell icon in header

Features:

  • Unread Count Badge - Number of new notifications
  • Connection Status - Green (connected) or Red (disconnected)
  • Last Updated - Timestamp of most recent update
  • Notification List - Up to 50 recent notifications

Notification Types:

  • Order status changes
  • Delivery completed
  • Payment captured
  • Driver assigned
  • System alerts

Actions:

  • Click notification to view details
  • Click "Mark All Read" to clear badge
  • Click refresh icon to fetch latest
  • Click gear icon for settings:
  • Toggle toast notifications
  • Toggle sound alerts
  • Clear all notifications

Persistence:

  • Notifications saved to browser localStorage
  • Survive page refresh
  • Synced across all open tabs

For Best Performance:

  • Close unused browser tabs

  • Ensure stable internet connection
  • Keep browser updated

If Dashboard Loads Slowly:

  • Check internet speed
  • Refresh page
  • Log out and back in
  • Clear cache and cookies
  • Try different browser

Understanding Metrics

What "Trend Indicators" Mean:

Positive Trend ():

  • Increase compared to previous period
  • Green color (usually good for orders)
  • Example: " 12%" means 12% more than last period

Negative Trend ():

  • Decrease compared to previous period
  • Red color
  • Example: " 5%" means 5% fewer than last period

Period Comparison:

  • Last 7 days vs. previous 7 days
  • Automatic calculation
  • Updates daily
