Quick Start Guide

Get started with Shaloz in minutes. Follow the steps below based on whether you're a business or a driver.

FOR BUSINESSES

Step 1: Create Your Account (5 minutes)

1. Visit portal.shaloz.com
2. Click "Sign Up"
3. Enter:
4. First & last name
5. Email address
6. Phone number
7. Business name
8. Business website (optional)
9. Company size
10. Verify phone number with SMS code
11. Add first team member (optional - can skip)
12. Create first pickup location:
13. Center name (e.g., "Main Warehouse")
14. Complete address
15. Coordinates (auto-populated)
16. Done! You're logged into the Business Portal

Step 2: Get Your API Credentials (2 minutes)

1. Go to Settings page
2. Copy your Business ID (businessToken)
3. Create Sandbox API Key:
4. Click "Create API Key"
5. Choose "Sandbox"
6. Copy key immediately (shown only once)
7. Store securely
8. Later create Production API Key when ready to go live

Step 3: Choose Your Integration Method

Option A: WooCommerce Plugin (Recommended for WordPress stores)

→ Continue to WooCommerce setup below

Option B: REST API (For custom integrations)

→ Go to Portal → Docs → API Reference

Option C: Manual Portal Entry (No integration needed)

→ Skip to Step 4

Step 4: Test with Rate Calculator (1 minute)

1. Go to Rate Calculator page
2. Ensure toggle is set to "Sandbox"
3. Enter a test ZIP code (e.g., your customer's ZIP)
4. Click "Calculate Rate"
5. View rate breakdown and service availability

Step 5: Create Your First Test Order (5 minutes)

1. Go to Fulfillment Data page
2. Click "Create Manual Entry"
3. Fill in customer details:
4. Name, email, phone
5. Shipping address
6. Add package details:
7. Description
8. Weight and dimensions
9. Set delivery date
10. Submit order
11. Fulfill order:
12. Select order with checkbox
13. Click "Fulfill Selected"
14. Enter test payment method
15. Pay & Fulfill

Note: In Sandbox mode, no real charges or deliveries occur. You fulfill test orders yourself.

Step 6: Go Live (When Ready)

1. Switch to Production environment (toggle in header)
2. Create Production API Key
3. Update WooCommerce plugin with Production key (if using)
4. Test with real order
5. Monitor delivery in real-time

FOR BUSINESSES: WooCommerce Setup

Step 1: Install Plugin (3 minutes)

Option A: WordPress Plugin Repository

1. Log into WordPress admin
2. Go to Plugins → Add New
3. Search "Shaloz for WooCommerce"
4. Click Install Now → Activate

Option B: Manual Upload

1. Download plugin ZIP file
2. Go to Plugins → Add New → Upload
3. Choose file and Install Now
4. Click Activate

Step 2: Configure Shipping Zone (5 minutes)

1. Go to WooCommerce → Settings → Shipping
2. Select shipping zone (e.g., "United States")
3. Click "Add shipping method"
4. Choose "Shaloz Shipping" from dropdown
5. Click "Add shipping method"
6. Click on "Shaloz Shipping" to configure

Step 3: Enter API Credentials (3 minutes)

1. Enable the method (checkbox)
2. Method Title: Enter "Shaloz Express Delivery" (or your preference)
3. API Environment: Choose "Sandbox" (for testing)
4. API Key: Paste your Sandbox API key from Business Portal
5. Click "Test Connection" → Should show success
6. Webhook Secret: Paste webhook secret from Business Portal Settings
7. Click "Test Webhook" → Should show success
8. Click "Save changes"

Step 4: Configure Webhook URL in Portal (2 minutes)

1. Copy webhook URL from WooCommerce settings
2. Go to Business Portal → Settings
3. Paste webhook URL in "Your WooCommerce Webhook URL" field
4. Click "Save"

Step 5: Test Your Setup (5 minutes)

1. Create test product in WooCommerce
2. Add to cart and proceed to checkout
3. Enter shipping address with valid ZIP code
4. Verify Shaloz appears as shipping option with rate
5. Complete test order
6. Check Business Portal → Fulfillment Data
7. Confirm order appeared automatically

Step 6: Go Live (When Ready)

1. Go to WooCommerce → Settings → Shipping → Shaloz
2. Change "API Environment" to "Production"
3. Update API Key with Production key
4. Click "Test Connection" → Verify success
5. Save changes
6. Place real test order
7. Monitor in Business Portal

FOR DRIVERS

Step 1: Download the App (1 minute)

iOS:

• Open App Store
• Search "Shaloz Driver"
• Download and install

Android:

• Open Google Play Store
• Search "Shaloz Driver"
• Download and install

Step 2: Sign Up & Verify Phone (3 minutes)

1. Open app
2. Tap "Sign Up"
3. Enter phone number
4. Receive SMS verification code
5. Enter code to verify

Step 3: Complete Onboarding (10-15 minutes)

Personal Information:

• First & last name
• Email address
• Date of birth

Address Information:

• Street address
• City, state, ZIP code

Identity Verification:

• Scan driver's license (front)
• Scan driver's license (back)
• Take selfie photo

Tax Information:

• Enter last 4 digits of Social Security Number

Payment Information:

• Add bank account (routing + account number)
• Or add debit card for instant payouts

Step 4: Wait for Approval (1-3 business days)

• Documents are reviewed by Shaloz team
• Background check conducted
• You'll receive email when approved
• Check app for approval status

Step 5: Go Online & Accept First Delivery (5 minutes)

1. Open app after approval
2. Tap "Go Online" button
3. Enter vehicle information:
4. License plate
5. State
6. Vehicle type (Sedan, SUV, etc.)
7. Tap "Go Online"
8. Wait for available routes to appear
9. Tap route to view details
10. Tap "Select Route" to accept
11. Tap "Start Trip" to begin

Step 6: Complete Your First Delivery (30-60 minutes)

Pickup:

1. Navigate to pickup location
2. Tap "I've Arrived"
3. Get verification code from business
4. Tap "Confirm Pickup" and enter code

Drop-off:

1. Navigate to customer address
2. Tap "I've Arrived"
3. Hand package to customer
4. Tap "Complete Delivery"
5. Take photo of package
6. Submit

Get Paid:

• Earnings appear instantly in your balance
• Cash out anytime to debit card or bank account
